after getting up to 20K she gets REAL HUNGRY, but because you cant just stop your cargo ships, she keeps from starving. i got up to 46K before i routed every ship to the same station out of boredom. it took a while, but EVENTUALLY she starved. Sadly, the actual event snuck up on me, so i clicked through the dialogue without reading it. Anyone reading this, tell me what she says if she starves after hitting the fattest sprite.

Congrats on taking fourth place!

hoping this can be improved and expanded upon after the game jam. I rather like this one in premise and setup.

(+4)

sadly freezes the moment i attempt to play.. (i can controll for like a second but cant go past that)

mmm mine freeze too, i press esc and i could play again

(1 edit)

me too how this can be fix?

Impeccable vibes and adorable alien lady!

It froze on my after she hit the first weight stage but I was enjoying da zooming and the numbers going upping!

(+1)

There's also a full-screen map view that you can open that has a waypoint system and displays the names of stations that you can open with the 'M' key!

(+1)

I got it to work, but the resolution is too large. Tho i found that if I go to gameexe > priorities > run: maximized it "fixes" itself, tho you have to play in a window mode and not fullscreen

(+1)

the state of immobility is hit really quickly, and the settings menu mentions sfx, but it's nothing but the music

how does one do the whole console or terminal thing with openGL, im not very familliaarr with this stuff </3

game is fun although it did bluescreen my computer, dunno anything about tech but it's "Video TDR Failure".

very good game, atleast for someone like me who can enjoy when -nuber go up-.

story ends at roughly 2k lbs which works well with whats written.
size increase goes for much longer, above 5k

However the player gets useless quickly since there is no way of uping capacity and the large ship costs too much for the current stae of the game,
if the story keeps going it would be fine

overall id say 7,5/10  -  fun gameplay, great visuals

Very adorable character. Hope to see more art of her!

In case you get the “some text here” bug, there is an easy fix.

Start the game from command line like so:

.\pizza_planet.exe -l en-US

This also works for other godot games, as the -l parameter forces the game to use the American locale most authors use.

Awesome, i played it at first with the log text bugged and having to do esc continue to advance and it was cool but it gives a better flair to have the character talk and seeing the number go up now, thank you for saying a work-around it

the game is not rendering properly and has textures stretched out and clipping everywhere, is a little dangerous for epileptics

Every time I boot up the game, it just crashes

I can tell the artwork is Jouigi's.

is there new art for after she goes planet size or does she just scale up infinitly?

(+1)

Unfortunately getting stuck on the “some text here” bug like others. Since it’s Godot, if you start the game via a terminal application, you will get a log as such:

❯ Initialize godot-rust (API v4.2.2.stable.official, runtime v4.4.1.stable.official)
Godot Engine v4.4.1.stable.official.49a5bc7b6 - https://godotengine.org

(where that second ‘line 1098’ error spams indefinitely while the terminal is active) My initial guess is it could be something to do with users who have multiple Windows languages installed, as not everyone has the issue(?) - I try to avoid couch debugging though. Hopefully this gives enough info anyways.

(+1)

I think you are right. The error is basically saying I cant find the text for your set language which seems to be set to None instead of en-US for some reason. The dialogue system was a last min addition so I probably just forgot to force it to use en-US so may be trying to pull that info from your system. Ill have to look into it when I can.

how i even play i press star it say "some text here" and i cant move

i click all my buttons this simply cant be played

(+1)(-1)

I would really love to play it but sadly the graphics for all the in-game windows are glitching like crazy.

(+2)

That could be due to Vukan issues with your GPU. A few people who reached out with similar issues where able to fix it by forcing openGL with the --rendering-driver opengl3 flag.

This worked, thank you!

How can you do this? Trying to fix it on my side

(1 edit)

Your have to run it through a console with this command:

pizza_planet.exe –rendering-driver opengl3

For some reason in windows terminal it does not want to work

(+1)

full terminal command would be:
.\pizza_planet.exe --rendering-driver opengl3
(I was a bit slow and didn't add the .\ at the beginning so I am doing this just in case people are confused from the previous help given by grot)

(+1)

I like the game but the resolution is too high, is there any way to fix that?

(+1)

Nice to see an incremental with such huge sizes and that allows you to go out by yourself or let the stuff do the work for you, even if a bit slow. I have been letting the game going on the side to see how big it can get and its always fun to see it bigger and bigger. Im afraid of closing it as i assume it wont save my progress, if not, i would suggest that as the first thing. Also, if you are right next to the body as it grows bigger, you clip into in and can fly around on your new soon to be planet. Great job and hope to see more of it in the future.

I love the 3D modeling for the ships and stations

game freezes when the cat gains weight

true
uhh , try esc-continue
